As is true for many artists, I have been making art ever since I could hold a crayon.

I also went to school for it. First, my mom taught me, and then I attended the University of Illinois, where I had a very short-lived stint as a math major, turning quickly to a BFA in painting. I received several grants and awards early in my career, including an Illinois Arts Council Fellowship and a CAAP Individual Artist Grant from the City of Chicago, Department of Cultural Affairs. My paintings are in numerous private and corporate collections, including The Sophy, a boutique hotel in Hyde Park, Chicago, IL; the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago; Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN; Capital One, Chicago, IL; and Cascade Hills Country Club, Grand Rapids, MI.

I collaborate with art advisors, dealers, interior designers, architects, and individual clients to place existing artworks and create site-specific commissioned paintings for residential and corporate spaces.

Since the beginning, I have prioritized working closely with interior designers, fine art professionals, and individual clients to ensure the best possible outcomes for my projects. Collaboration is the key to creating meaningful artworks and art programs that consider the environments in which they will exist. It’s a holistic approach–I’m an active listener and seek to enhance space with thoughtful and intelligent art placements.

And I am so in love with all the colors.

I examine abstraction through a compiled visual language of urban symbols, geometric shapes, figurative elements, and pops of nature. My process is joyful and energetic, creating paintings and works on paper that are animated fragments of modern life.
